This is a spectacular multi relic containing 5 relics of Saint Fabian, Pope and Martyr, Saint Sebastian, Martyr, Saint Doinysius, Bishop and Martyr, Saint Vincent, Martyr and Saint Edward Confessor, King of England.The reliquary measures 2.3" It is itself housed in an associated glass and wooden bell display case which measures 5" high, and dated from the second half of the 20th century.The document measures 14" x 12". It was issued in 1879 in Westvletern, Belgium. The Abbey, The Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary and pope St. Sixtus, in Westvleteren, is now mainly known for it's brewery! There are some repairs with tape visible along the back, but all in all it is in fine shape.The red wax seal matches perfectly with the raised seal on the bottom left, and with the coat of arms printed at the top. (I had a hard time photographing these, but I assure you, the words around the raised seal are the exact same words found around the red wax seal, SIGNUM FRATRIS ALBEEICI ABRATIS .....SANCTO SIXTO)This very special reliquary was part of the private collection of a beloved French Archbishop.
