Up for auction one vintage original blackpowder part. The semi-buckhorn rear sight is iron and the front sight is silver. Both sights are original. The overall length is 42 inches and there is no evidence of it having been shortened. The breech plug has been removed and is missing. Amazingly the breech threads are still good. This is a straight octogon barrel measuring 15/16 inches wide and it is not flared or swamped. I can find no proof marks, but one of the flats near the flared drum is marked "E&LITTLE". The rifling is exceptionally good and will function properly without repair. Its is probably 36cal. This was well cared for.
