N SCALE Model Railroad Item Plastic Kit Modeled after the Three Mile Island NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Cornerstone of Electric Power Production Main Building Reactor Building Reactor Dome Core Structure and Large Cooling Tower Modeled After the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant This is a New in the Shrinkwrapped Box.Though this is N Scale it could be used as a background building on an HO scale layout. The Nuclear Power Plants started appearing across the country in the fifties and sixties. Many communities became home to one of these giants to help produce the electricity to power the post war era. These plants constructed alone or many times in close proxity with a coal fired Generating plant were common along the railways. Add this plant along with a coal fired plant for a great industrial siding. Deliver coal to the power plant with your unit train, have a rotary dumper to unload the cars and add some tankcars to move the liquid bi-products away from the Nuclear Plant. Add a substation, High Tension Towers and you have a unique siding on any line. Add a Steam Generating Kit (sold separately) and it looks like the real thing with the dispersion ring in the cooling tower the steam generator puts out wonderful plumes of steam just as the real cooling towers do.
