Naomi Fuentes Eckleberry Santa Clara Pueblo Native American Pottery This beautifully carved avanyu pot was traditionally made by Santa Clara potter, Naomi Eckleberry. There are carved water designs around the avanyu. The polish is really well done. It measures 2 1/8" h x 3 1/2" w and is signed "Naomi Fuentes Santa Clara Pueblo 5/87". This is in excellent condition and no chips, cracks or restoration. Naomi was born in Los Angeles (1961) to a non-Indian father and a Santa Clara mother (Patricia Fuentes). She moved to Santa Clara in 1984, met Victor Eckleberry, and they started potting together. She was taught by her brother Lorenzo Fuentes.Victor and Naomi form their pots independently as each has special shapes. Naomi designs the pots but Victor carves them. Then Naomi does the polishing and Victor the firing. They won two First Places at a recent Picuris show. I am happy to combine shipping and insurance is included. I guarantee every pot I ship to be to your satisfaction or your money back (14 days). _gsrx_vers_486 (GS 6.5.1 (486))
