NATHAN BEDFORD FORREST Signed SCARCE ORIGINAL~ !!! Selma, Marion and Memphis Railroad Company $1000 bond with coupons from 1868 *** You are bidding on a SCARCE SIGNED ORIGINAL ~ Nathan Bedford Forrest Signed 1868 Railroad Bond from the Selma Marion Memphis Railroad Company~! Document is a SCARCE Rarity because it includes 33 of its Original Coupon Bonds~!!! This bond is dated September 22, 1868 and is number 514... Bond is single signed boldly with a perfect signature of the CSA Lt. General & Ku Klux Klan founder Nathan Bedford Forrest~! Document is huge measuring 20" by almost 17" inches with (33 original coupon bonds still attached. Document missing the upper panel of the document which are common for Forrest signed bonds which would have featured a second signature. Document has an engraving of Slaves carrying cotton right beside the Forrest Signature... Bond is for $1,000 dollars. The original large Red Seal is still intact and is on the verso. There is a approximate 1" strip of tape residue to the back from a previous framing and a 1 3/4" piece of tape attached to the front of the bond from a previous frame job... I did not remove the small piece of tape on the front which can be professionally removed if so desired by the buyer... small piece of tape does not detract from the document that much and can be seen through.. read more
