Dwayne Blackhorse is a talented Navajo pottery artist from the Four Corners area of Utah near Monument Valley. He was born to Kintichiinii or Red House clan and born for the Hashk'aanhadzohi or Yucca-fruit-strung-out-on-a-line clan. His grandfather Robert was a Medicine Man.Over the years Dwayne has created a variety of etched pottery designs and now oversees the production of the Cedar Mesa Pottery version of his Wood Grain Finish collector series, doing most of the work himself. Nine distinct processes are involved in creating the finished pottery. Each piece is a hand etched and signed original work of art that comes with a certificate of Native American Authenticity and a short artist biography.This piece is a 6 x 5 inch Anasazi bowl and features Kokopelli "The Flute Player" in the design.
