Navajo Sand Painting With Sacred Bear, Pottery & Kokopelli Bears are sacred protectors and bring healing. In this wonderful sand painting this special bear is particularly beautiful, decorated in turquoise and white flowers, and etched in black traditional Navajo designs. The native pot is designed in traditional black. The kokopelli, a fertility diety and trickster, is dancing on the back of the bear. The three figures standout in a smoky grey background. The sand painting is signed on the back. It rests in an oak frame. This is a small treasure as Navajo sand paintings are called "places where the gods come and go." The sand painting framed measures 7 1/2" X 7 1/2" The sand painting unframed measures 6" X 6"
