ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ESTATE PIECE! This auction is for.......... SOLID STERLING SILVER BELT BUCKLEwith gold wash BEAR CLAW and detailed etched clouds, rain, home, sun rays, etc. e by LOLITA NATACHU, ZUNI TRIBE Handcrafted, handwrought Nice HEFTY weight...35 grams This heavy gauge solid Sterling Silver BELT BUCKLE was hand made from start to finish. Stamped signed by the ZUNI artist LOLITA NATACHU Wonderful high quality, artistry and workmanship DETAILS: T his piece is a lovely quality piece .....it is beautiful! This piece is fully marked with the initials of LN for LOLITA NATACHU, ZUNI TRIBE. Natachu was a silversmith and she specialized in Apache Mountain Way dancers, rainbows, sun faces and other symbols. Her husband was Fred Natachu and this trademark (LN) was first used in 1974. It is 925 Solid Sterling silver WITH a gold wash. THIS PIECE IS STUNNING AND IMPECABLE ARTWORK/WORKMANSHIP. DESCRIPTION: ....Lovely vintage estate piece . This belt buckle is detailed and intricate with deeply etched Native American symbols of rain, homes, clouds, sun rays, and other symbols with a gold detailed bear claw in the center on a brushed sterling silver background. The symbols and etchings are stunning. The gold color has a nice aged patina that I have not cleaned as to not destroy this patina. It is gorgeous. The outside edge rim is wavy and detailed for a handcrafted handwrought design look. The back is smooth with the belt hook and loop. GORGEOUS DETAILS! Lovely and unique authentic piece by LOLITA NATACHU, ZUNI TRIBE Lovely style and presentation . SIZE: Please note the size of my rings, stones, etc.....I don't want you to be surprised with too large, too small, etc. ..... This measures 2 inches X 3 inches in a rectangle shape. The belt buckle portion on the back measures 1 9/16 inches in the inside so it would take up to a 1 1/2 inch belt. CONDITION: This piece is in beautiful vintage condition. No dings or dents to the sterling portion. The imperfections were made by the handwought and handmade process. This piece is a ONE OF A KIND piece and not a mass produced piece. Nothing that I can find to deter from the beauty and use of this piece. I have NOT cleaned this piece and will leave additional polishing to the new buyer. The belt buckle portion in the back works fine. The gold color has a nice aged patina that I have not cleaned as to not destroy this patina. It is gorgeous.
