Original vintage Navajo Kachina Bolo tie signed D. Smeyn for Doris Smallcanyon, a famous Native American silversmith known for her detailed kachinas. It is sterling silver set with turquoise-the signature is carved on the back side of the kachina. The lariat is braided black leather and cowhide, and is approx. 20 inches long (including tips). The detailed tips are also set with sterling silver and are 2 in. long. The actual kachina is approx. 3 1/2 in. long and between 3/4 in. and 1 1/4 in. wide, depending on the location. This bolo tie was purchased by my mother during the early 1990's and has lived the majority of it's life in a jewelry box-it hasn't been worn too often and is certainly in great condition. I have searched on the internet tirelessly and have been unable to find even one of the same-its possible that this could be the only one of this particular piece. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful piece of jewelry and will only continue to rise in value. I WILL TRY TO HAVE SOME MORE PICTURES UP BY TOMORROW! I REALIZE THAT THEY ARE A BIT HARD TO SEE! UNTIL THEN, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS! THANKS!
