Here's a real nice large sterling silver buckle hallmarked by Navajo Willie Yazzie. Both Willie Yazzie, Sr (?-1999) and his son, Willie A. Yazzie Jr., used this mark (a medicine man's dipper). But, I think this buckle was made by Willie Yazzie Sr., because (1) the belt loop is fixed, not on swivels; (2) there is an old pawn mark etched into the back (AEX), and, (3) the sterling stamp isn't there (as it would be with Yazzie Jr.). Willie Yazzie Sr. was an active silversmith beginning in the 1930s. This buckle features a roadrunner at full speed and a stylized desert landscape. It measures 3" x 2," weighs a respectable 1.9 ounces and will accommodate a belt strap up to 1 1/2." No reserve. Please Thank you very much.International buyers are responsible for any import fees that may apply.
