AUTHENTIC & RARE DIXIE CLASSIC TROPHIES NC STATE (COLLEGE) UNIVERSITY, 1954, '55, '56, & '58 Trophies presented to each player on NC STATE men's basketball team after the winning game. Authenticity can be verified through seller, whose father played on the Wolfpack team during the Dixie "Three-Peat" of 1954 through 1956. The Dixie Classic was created in 1949 by Hall of Fame coach Everett Case, and was dissolved in 1961 after a point-shaving scandal. The tournament was played at nostalgic Reynolds Coliseum, whose construction was completed in 1947, shortly after the end of WWII. The coliseum was the largest in the southeast US until the 1960s. Players associated with the Dixie Classic trophies offered here included Ronnie Shavlik, Vic Molodet, co-captain Bob Seitz (the tallest player in the ACC until 1968, standing 7'1), former WVU & DUKE head coach Bucky Waters, Nick Pond, Lou Pucillo, and others. The NC STATE men's team also won the ACC Championships of 1955 and 1956, making these trophies exceptionally valuable. PHOTO # 7 is 1958 trophy by itself. USPS OR UPS SHIPPING IS FREE & INSURED
