Leadbeater’s absorbing, in-depth study of Freemasonry and the Mystery schools of ancient Egypt, Greece, Judea, and Europe in the Middle Ages up through the emergence of Co-Masonry in the twentieth century. During his lifetime, Leadbeater used his rare capacity for clairvoyance or “seeing” beyond the physical plane for many purposes. He described the forms and colors created as a result of our thoughts and the shapes and colors of the human “subtle body”. This showed the author's purpose to demonstrate a direct connection between modern masonry and the ancient mystery religions. How well he made this case is up to the reader to decide. Personally, it is obvious to me that t is a golden thread connecting the traditions. This is most obvious at the level of the Occult School (as opposed to the "Authentic", “Anthropological", and "Mystical" Schools).
