This sterling silver crucifix was inspired by a similar crucifix in the Spanish Colonial Silver Museum of Cuzco, Peru. The original is considered a National Treasure and not for sale; but this one in our opinion is made with better silver, and the techniques and tolls that were used to make it, are the same. Hand made pieces like this sterling silver crucifix are VERY special, and take time to complete; so Juan and his wife Zoila begin their work months before. We have posted some pictures of the Cardenas Catholic family work-shop below. They are 6th generation Church Silversmiths in Cuzco , Peru . We have acquired this Crucifix from Juan, on consignment for auction, in order to benefit his beloved Carmelite convents. This crucifix is 2.5 inches long and weights 13 grams. Everything on it was done by hand using 400 year old style tools and techniques. What you are getting can not be purchased in any store, and t is no other like it in the world. This crucifix is made from solid 925 silver. It comes with a lifetime guarantee. Just return it, and it will be repaired forever. Good luck bidding! Sellers: Get your own map of past buyers. Fast. Simple.
