we have a United States of America Bureau of Pensions Document. This entitles Patrick Devins, private, Co. K, 118" regiment, New York Infantry to pension compensation for his military service during the Civil War. Patrick Devins was enlisted September 2, 1864 at Plattsburgh at the age of 30 years old; Mustered in as private Co. K, 118th New York Volunteer Infantry, September 12, 1864; Mustered out with company June 13th, 1865 at Richmond Virginia. Included is the actual original document as well as 4 of the original documents which shows what Soldier Devins was to receive in pension payment. Dates are; June 10, 1918 he received $32.00 per month May 1, 1920 he received $50.00 per month December 19, 1920 he received $72.00 per month Febuary 4, 1921 he received a notification that his pension would be increased once again however no amount is given Also included is a personal letter directly from the State of New York Division of Military and Naval Affairs of the Executive Department Albany. This was addressed to Miss Annie F. Devins This letter was to reference the Civil War records on file which credited Patrick Devins with military service Documents are in very good condition. all have fold marks but no tears. Nice piece of Civil War Soldier history, which we all know is simply becoming rarely found
