First of all, I have never seen an original print of this scene before, only on a postcard.Norman Pettingill's art is on display at "The Kohler Foundation" and I borrow from them this portrait of Mr.Pettingill."Norman, began making art as a young boy, but came in to his own as an artist as a young man in the 1920,s.His first job as a commercial artist began in 1925 at the age of twenty nine" This is my own thoughts it seems he was a somewhat obscure artist with a very avid following as a true underground cartoonist and artist.He also wrote a very popular and rare book titled "Backwoods Humorist".I listed this in the post card category for he was so well known for this.Anyway, I am sure you who will be looking at this will know of him.The piece measures approx: 18 x 21 with frame.PS If you want this shipped send me you zip code, i usually use UPS pack and ship.PS Shipping price added.
