Listed for auction is a Vintage (not less than 20 years old) NYPD - CITY OF NEW YORK POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICER'S ISSUED and WORN 100% WOOL SWEATER. This sweater was worn a handful of times and is in very nice condition. Professionally dry cleaned a few days ago. A "Genuine COMMANDO" Sweater made by the Blauer Company of Boston, Massachusetts. Made in England of 100% Pure New Wool. Size is XL but runs small. This is not being sold as an item of clothing to be worn but rather as a unique and fairly unusual collectible for that collector of NYPD memorabilia or general police - law enforcement memorabilia. Sweater carries an NYPD - CITY OF NEW YORK POLICE DEPARTMENT patch on each shoulder and one stripe on the left sleeve. Shoulders are padded and carry one button each. Elbows are padded. Equipped for easy badge attachment. I have several old vintage NYPD items I'll be listing over the next few weeks, so remember to check back. You won't be disappointed with this nice collectible.
