19th Century oak splint basket with nice patina. Has 17 ribs and measures 8 1/2 inches from bottom to top of handle, 13 inches across (length), and 10 inches across (width). In excellent condition, with some age splits in the splints. Has a wire wrapped around the joint of the curved piece of wood that forms the handle - wire does not appear to be serving any purpose, but left this the way we found it. This is a very nice old primitive basket. A great look for the hearth or centerpiece with flowers or fruit.As always, we are dedicated to providing customer service.
