Please . 1902 - True Stone Chromolithograph: Octopods and Decapods Satisfaction Guaranteed 5 varieties of Octopods and Decapods are illustrated and identified: 1. Chiroteuthis Veranyi 2. Histioleuthis Ruppellii 3. Pinnocopus Cordiformis 4. Common Octupus 5. Octopus Granulatus This is a true stone chromolithograph - dated 1902 on the face. It appeared as a bookplate in a fine set of 1903 encyclopedias. The sheet size is about 6.25" x 9", and the boxed area is about 5 x 8. It has the rich saturated colors characteristic of the stone litho process and the printing quality is excellent. A beautiful print! - exquisitely printed by Julius Bien & Co., NYC one of the finest US lithographers of the early 20th century. Condition is as shown.
