's a nice jar lid. Measures about 2 5/8" diameter ( 2 1/2" for the lower rim) , bright 'depression' green, embossed "FINLEY ACKER & CO. / A / TRADE MARK / ABSOLUTE / RELIABILITY". probably circa 1900 or so. Doesn't appear to go with any of the Finley Acker product jars listed in the fruit jar red book( it would be neat if the jar turned out to be the same shade of green), so I have no idea what jar it went with or how it was sealed (probably a screw band, as the embossing was clearly meant to be visible on the sealed jar). Finley Acker was a large wholesale food packing company from Philadelphia around the turn of the century. Lid is in excellent condition, just a couple tiny pinpoint nicks on the bottom rim. A highly decorative and very rare lid! Winning bidder pays actual priority postage. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
