Rare Decorated Stoneware Spouting Fish Pitcher, Ohio origin, late 19th century, molded in the form of a fish on circular base with curled tail and open mouth. Surface covered in a Bristol slip glaze and intricately-decorated with light brown and blue sponged scaling. Eyes also decorated with blue and brown glaze. Unusual form with colorful glaze patterns. Four small stone pops to chest. 1 1/2" hairline to mouth area. A few other hairlines visible only on interior of fish's mouth. Three spots of wear to fish's mouth. Tight surface line in circular base. H 10".
