Item Information DESCRIPTION Please look to our other Ebay Auctions for more great things from France and Italy. Wonderful OLD Original Antique Friedrich Mauthe Vienna Regulator Wall Clock purchased from the Estate of a Clock Collector in Paris, France . This is one of 13 clocks from this Fabulous OLD Estate! Estimated to be from the 1920's. It measures 35" tall, 12.25" wide and 7" deep. It has a painted porcelain enamel dial that is 5.75" in diameter with a Doré Bronze sun burst center and Doré Bronze ring. The Pendulum is made of fancy bronze Doré . The clock case is walnut veneer and is a rich dark colour and has carved 1/2 turnings. The case has the original old glass. It has a brass works that "dongs or gongs" and strikes half hours on the hour and the half hour on a coil gong. The clock does work however, it runs for a while then stops. The brass works are dirty and need cleaned and t is some old scratching on the walnut veneer case. Included is a clock key that fits the clock, but it is not the original key. The brass works are stamped "FM" inside a round circle with a bird or eagle standing on top of the circle. read more
