This is a great book for anyone interested in the Civil War or the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic). The title of the book is History of the Easel-Shaped Monument and the GAR. T are over 200 pages in the book. Book printed right after the Civil War. On the condition of the book. The outer cover is t but loose. If you are a picky book collector you won't like that fact. On the other hand, if you are interested in doing research or just reading about the Civil War---this book contains a lot of very interesting data, not normally available at other sources. It does appear that the t are a couple of pages missing, right at the front of the book. The title page is one of the pages gone. The book starts with the Table of Contents. Again, the book is very usable for someone just wanting to do research, etc. I have provided 12 photos. The photos show the book cover and the entire Table of Contents of the book. If you like militaria---medals and insignia---t are plates in t showing badges of the GAR. About a third of the book deals with the battles on land and sea. This is a great research tool. Check out the photos. Very small battles and skirmishes are listed. This is a treasure trove of information for anyone doing research, or for anyone interested in using a metal detector to find relics. Another third of the book is dedicated to listing read more
