Vintage embossed sterling handle G.H. French pierced bowl serving spoon 9-3/4" long. The pierced bowl is 3-1/4" by 2-1/8" (1/2" deep) and the sterling handle is 4" long by 3/8" to 3/4" wide (5/16" deep). The back of the handle is marked with the G.H. French and Company logo (three hallmarks with G H F in the center) STERLING HANDLE. G.H. French and Company was in business in North Attleboro, MA from 1920 to 1939 and was absorbed into the Ellmore Silver Company. The serving spoon would be great for casseroles, vegetables, ice, nuts, etc. The spoon is in very good condition with a little sign of wear including some minor tarnishing. T are no dents, dings, or nicks and the edges are smooth to the touch. The embossing is very clear and easy to see (a little more clear than the pictures show). The spoon came from an estate sale.
