*OLD MINTON CHINA "MELROSE" PATTERN 12 B & B PLATES Fresh From a Fabulous South Florida Estate! No Reserve, Ever! A fabulous set of twelve (12) Bread & Butter size plates from Minton China. These plates are larger than the normal B & B plates, yet too small for salad plates. This pattern is called Melrose with the number B 1371. A pattern that was introduced in 1936 and discontinued in 1964. A cream color border to the plates or saucers with a pure white center. Evenly spaced around the border are brown cameo's with colorful flowers in the urns and green leaf swags between each cameo. A brownish gold trim on the edge with a yellow & brown design around the edge. A inner ring of brown & yellow design on the plates and saucers with the same ring around the outside of the cups. We are actually sending 13 plates, one was broken with a professional staple repair, see last photo's. Signed: Minton's. Made in England. Melrose. B 1317 Measures: 7 5/8 " Diameter Condition: Very Good to Excellent. We did not find any cracks, chips, nicks crazing or repairs. Trim on edge does not show wear.
