Interesting Old NORTHERN CHEYENNE TOMAHAWK with Brass Head and Wooden Stem. The tomahawk is 20 1/2" in length (wooden handle makes up the entire length as the brass blade fits into the wooden handle). The brass blade is 7 1/2" in length width at the end is 3". This was collected in Miles City , Montana (Miles City is next to the Cheyenne Indian Reservation and know as the Cowboy Capital of the Wordl). Unique history as the Tomahawk was being used by a carpenter for pounding and some choping. The handle has holes were brass tacks were attached at some time-all are missing. Some white paint was smeared on one side of the handle..Handle has nice patina-smooth with old wood cracks. Don't know how old it is but could be very old. The Brass blade has lots of ding marks. Buyer pays shipping and handling of priority mail at $15.00 insurance will be quoted
