(by Sue Radford) **************** A VERY LOVELY NEWBORN FAIRY ANGEL WITH BRIGHT GREEN RHINESTONE EMBELISHED SATIN WINGS. A LITTLE IRIDESCENT BUTTERFLY HAS LANDED ON HER TUMMY, AND SHE HAS A PRETTY HEADBAND ON HER HEAD. HER HAIR HAS BEEN HANDPAINTED. I HAVE SPENT MANY HOURS USING MY SPECIAL PAINT TECHNIQUES TO CREATE THIS REALISTIC MINIATURE FAIRY ELF. LAYERS OF GENESIS HEATSET PAINTS HAVE BEEN APPLIED THAT WON'T FADE OR RUB OFF MAKING THESE LITTLE BUNDLES A DELIGHT TO OWN FOR MANY YEARS TO COME - PLACE THEM ON SHADED WINDOW-LEDGES, SHELVES ETC SO YOU CAN SEE AND ENJOY THEM EVERYDAY! It requires a lot of patience and concentration to achieve a realistic skintone and at least eight tones of colour are applied separately, and each layer has to be heat-set before applying the next. It's very time consuming, but essential when trying to achieve a realistic skin tone. Finally, applying the correct colour tone to face and crease areas etc requires a considerable amount of skill and a steady hand, as a slip of the brush, or too much heat can easily ruin all the previous intricate work already done. It's very tricky adding the finishing details when working on such small items, but spending extra time on attention to detail is very essential and worthwhile, as it adds an even more realistic look to these adorable Baby Fairy Angels and Elves - NO DETAIL HAS BEEN LEFT OUT. SHE/HE MEASURES APPROX.6.3cms (2.5") IN LENGTH. EACH BABY FAIRY ANGEL or Elf IS MADE INVIDUALLY AND HAS ITS OWN CUTE PERSONALITY, CHARACTER AND FACIAL FEATURE, SO WILL BE A UNIQUE PIECE MADE ESPECIALLY FOR YOU - NO ONE WILL HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME ONE PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A MINIATURE FAIRY BABY Each fairy angel or elf has been made by myself from a piece of clay, so tiny flaws may be visible. It is virtually impossible to cast/mould and make an item as tiny this without avoiding tiny flaws, but none will deflect from their adorable cuteness. THIS LITTLE FAIRY BABY WILL MAKE A LOVELY LITTLE KEEPSAKE FOR YOURSELF - LOOK OUT FOR OTHERS AND START A COLLECTION! ALL AGES LOVE THEM! Please note: This item is not a toy intended for babies or very young children - as decorative pins are used to attach the wings, causing them to be a health hazard to babies or very small children. They're loved by girls, aged 7yrs and upwards - I know this from experience as my Granddaughter loves hers!
