For your consideration is this lot of 11 assorted hammers.Here is a brief description of each starting from left to right in the first photograph above:1. Smaller cross peen machinist or tinsmith type hammer. Overall length is about 9 1/4 inches. Some chips from both striking areas. Wood handle is firmly affixed to hammer head. Some paint splatter on wood handle.2. COLLINS masonry hammer. Hammer head is marked "COLLINS COMPANY LEGITIMUS" with hammer and crown logo. (See photo) Wood handle is also marked "COLLINS." Handle has also been branded with initials "LCJ" on side opposite of Collins name. Wood handle is tightly affixed to hammer head. Hammer in very, very good condition.3. Cross peen style hammer. The octagonal shaped hammer poll is somewhat elongated. (See photo) Overall length of hammer is about 12 1/2 inches as measured along the handle. Hammer head is about 6 3/8 inches from striking face to cross peen end. Wood handle is tightly affixed to hammer head. Some light pitting due to rust and age. Straight and clean.4. Double faced rubber dead blow mallet. Overall length is about 13 inches. Diameter of striking faces is about 2 1/2 inches. Initials "LCJ" are branded into wood handle. The rubber head appears to be reinforced with fiber.5. Cross peen machinist type hammer. Hammer head is marked "WILLARD." Overall length is about 14 1/2 inches. Distance from striking face to cross peen end is about 4 3/8 inches. Diameter of striking face is about 1 1/2 inch. Hammer weighs about 2 1/2 pounds. Initials "LCJ" have been branded into wood handle. Wood handle is firmly affixed to hammer head. Good, clean, straight hammer.6. Unusual shape double faced hammer. The hammer is marked with what looks like KOL inside a shield. The hammer head is also marked with the number "2." One end of the hammer head has "divets" on both sides of the head. (See photo) Overall length is about 11 1/2 inches. Distance from striking face to striking face is about 5 1/8 inches. Striking face dimensions are about 1 X 1 1/8 inch. Wooden handle is tightly affixed to hammer head. Hammer weighs about 2 pounds 3 ounces.7. Masonry type hammer. Some chips to striking face. Overall length is about 13 inches. I installed a new hickory handle. Some light pitting to hammer head due to rust and age. Hammer is clean, straight and tight.8. Cross peen machinist or tinsmith type hammer. Some chips to striking face. Overall length is about 12 1/2 inches. Wooden handle is tightly affixed to hammer head. Some light pitting due to rust and age. Straight and clean.9. Farrier type hammer. Blacksmith made? Looks to be ancient. Overall length is about 13 inches. Wooden handle is firmly affixed to hammer head. Unusual...10. Double faced copper hammer. Overall length is about 13 inches. The wooden handle is firmly affixed to copper head. The handle had a crack but I have made a good tight repair, lightly sanded and rubbed in a little boiled linseed oil. Hammer weighs about 1 pound 4 ounces.11. PLUMB ball peen type hammer. Small chips to striking face. Overall length is about 11 5/8 inches. The wooden handle has a paper label which says "Wizard" which I believe is from Western Auto. Good, tight, clean.All of these hammers are in used condition and may show signs of ordinary use such as dings and scratches.
