This is a beautiful and very unique ORIENTAL ENAMEL CIGARETTE CASE. The entire surface of the case is covered on the inside and also the outside with Oriental designs made in fine wire and colored in black, blue, red, yellow, green and white. I am not an antique dealer, however, it looks like it could be Cloisonne. The edge has a yellow and white floral pattern with a black and gold accent. One side of the case has a Pagoda Scene with the picture repeated on the inside of the case. The other side has a fire-breathing dragon with very detailed scales and an ocean wave also painted in exquisite detail. This is a very rare piece and would be a great addition for any collector's showcase. The case is hinged and has elasticized metal holders on both sides to hold the cigarettes. The clasp that would close this case has an insignia in very small print that says "CPO". It measures 4 1/4" wide including the clasp, and almost 3 1/2" tall. When the case is opened, it measures 8 1/2". The clasp and hinge are in very good condition, with the inside of the piece being a bit brighter than the outside. You would have to see this case to appreciate the beautiful and very unique detail that makes up the entire piece. The case has a beautiful contour that fits right in your hand.
