Here we offer the classic Sixties toy-- a genuine and original Corgi Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flying car with a wonderful collection of ephemera. Complete with jeweled lanterns, jeweled headlights, and jeweled red tail lights, mechanical wings and removeable front and back "stabilizer" wings, wonderful details (spare tire, snake bulb horn, brake handle--that operates the wing-release perfectly--spoked wheels, chrome muffler and exhaust train...,) and a full family of characters, this beautiful car is solid--it retains the original factory weld and has never been disassembled or repainted. Very good condition with some paint loss and playwear (please see close-up pics.) The woman and children and front stabilizer wing are high quality repro parts. Some paint is worn from the original wings (please see pics.) Side wings pop open perfectly and the car rolls very smoothly.This classic Corgi originally came in an oversized box, stuffed with a brittle plastic cloud. Many Corgi collectors have a particular affection for the traditional Corgi box, which the toy store owner would retrieve by referencing the number displayed on its end flap, removing it from a glass-doored cabinet that was stacked high with boxes.
