This Is A Lincoln Club Ribbon ca. 1894 With A Large Abraham Lincoln Medallion Attached At The Bottom. Although There Is Not A Year Displayed On The Ribbon Itself On The Back Of The Medallion Is The Date Of June 12, 94. Referring To 1894. Lincoln Clubs Were Started After Lincoln's Assassination To Honor His Memory. This Ribbon Is From The South Amboy, New Jersey Chapter. This Item is Described As Follows: The Ribbon Measures 2 3/8 x 5" And has Retained It's Beautiful Crème Color. At The Top Of The Ribbon Is A "Gold Gilt", Scroll Designed, Attachment Bar For The Top Of The Ribbon. This Bar Measures 2 7/8". Just Below This Bar Is "LINCOLN CLUB" With Two Vibrant, Crossed American Flags With Their Gold Staffs And Tassels. These Flags Have Also Retained Their Bright Red, White And Blue Colors. Just Below These Are "SOUTH AMBOY," NEW JERSEY. At The Bottom Is The Large Abraham Medallion Which Measures Approximately 5" In Diameter With A Gold Colored Rim. This Medallion Features A Front Facing, "Stately" Photo Of Abraham Lincoln. The Front Of The Medallion Does Have Some Light Tan Surface Toning Due To Age But Is Very Minor. On The Back Of The Ribbon, At The Top Is A Safety Pin For Attachment. As A Note I Do Not Believe That This Pin Is Original To The Ribbon As It Appears To Me to Possibly Have Been Attached At A later Date. It Appears To read more
