This no reserve auction is for an original Lionel empty box for a 2175W Santa Fe F-3 freight set. This popular freight set was manufactured by Lionel in 1950 and 1951 only. The labelling on this box date it to 1950. It protected the set that was comprised of the following components: 2343P/2343T Santa Fe A-A F-3 Diesel Units, 3464 Operating Box Car, 6462 Gondola, 6456 Hopper, 6555 Sunoco single-dome Tanker and 6457 illuminated Caboose. Again, this auction is for the empty set box only. This box shows limited shelf wear and remains reasonably square and strong. All flaps are present. One interior top flap has a 2" X 1" section cleanly cut from a corner . The top flaps were once held closed by some tape that has been neatly removed. There is a little faded writing on the top flap and a ding visible on the bottom but nothing that affects the integrity of the box. There is some minor skinning from the opening process. There was once some tape on the box that was carefully removed. The corner tape has been replaced with reinforced kraft tape. Overall this is a very respectable box capable of protecting its contents. Please view the pictures for additional descriptive detail. Buyer pays $12.00 for S&H. Most of my collection is Lionel with some Ives, American Flyer and other manufacturers represented. I do not have a collection list to share at this time. When practical, multiple items may be sent together to save on shipping costs. All items are carefully packed and typically shipped via USPS priority mail, first class or parcel post within 3 business days after payment clears. I reserve the right to select the shipping method at my discretion. Shipping is not a profit center for me so if I overestimate the cost I will gladly refund the difference of any full dollar amounts. Payment via Paypal is expected within 3 days unless other arrangements have been made. eBay rules require you to inquire about alternative payment methods. TCA member are given special consideration.
