Royal Air Force double-sided silk escape map carried by RAF personnel. These were also widely used by USAAF crews and pilots.One side covers France, Ref 7329 A / 9C (a), and is printed in three colors. The other side covers Germany, ref 7330 / 9U, and is printed in black and white.This is one of the earliest escape map published by the British military intelligence unit (MI9) in 1941. It shows the border between French occupied and unoccupied zones.This particular map is the earliest variant, with hemmed edges.
