Pale pressed bisque socket head with rounded facial shape, blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral shape, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair curly wig over pink-plaster pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere, straight wrists, separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte SGDG 3 (head) Sch (in shield, on derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: superb all-original bebe has choicest best, original wig with size label, original pate, original body, blue cashmere dress with cotton lace, undergarments, blue knit stockings, black leather shoes, and original boutique label on torso from Au Bonheur Enfants in Paris; this doll is photographed in The Encyclopedia of French Doll, page 27.
