Here we have a scarce original hand blown figural oyster whiskey nipper flask with original cork lined cap. My understanding is that this oyster bottle was would have been given away as a Christmas present by the bar/restaurant owner to one of his favorite customers. The origins are linked to the Tony Faust Oyster House in St. Louis. This is a hard to find oyster flask and especially desirable with the original paint and cap. The paint was made to match a fresh harvested oyster and seems to be a combination gold and black. Well done match. It is in mint condition with no damage. Bottom edge embossing reads PAT. JAN. 6 1897
