This is a 1 OZ .999 Fine Silver Sunshine Mint Round with the Sunshine’s MintMark SI security feature. Apart from silver being one of the best investments on the planet, these silver coins make great gifts and have an inspiring design and a brilliant shine. The face of this coin has the Sunshine Mint’s hallmark representation of an eagle flying with its wings extended and its talons open in front of the shining sun with the inscription “SUNSHINE MINTING” to indicate its origin. On the obverse side are the inscriptions “ONE TROY OUNCE” and “999 FINE SILVER,” which indicate its weight and silver content, surround the MintMark SI security feature, which appears in the center and passes easily as the sun as it is emanating rays, as the sun on the face is. However, when viewed through Sunshine’s special decoder lens (sold separately) is held flush against the round, the sun reveals the word “Valid,” and when the decoder lens is turned 90 degrees, a sunburst appears. The existence of these two views serve to verify the authenticity 1 oz Silver round.
