Upfor auction is this pair of vintage figural Italian art glass birds, both with lots of the Murano gold flecks in the glass. This set obviously is a male and female planning their nest building. As in nature, one is a little larger and one is more colorful, but the colors definitely match and are just used in varying amounts of color. These are a vintage pair that has been together for years, and so I will try to help them stay together for years to come. The larger bird is approximately 4 incheslong, 3 inches wide, and 3 inches tall. The smaller bird is approximately 3 1/2 inches long; 2 1/4 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall. I have taken lots of pictures, indoors and outside in the sun. They are pictured together and individually so you can tell more about them than I can possibly describe to you. The eyes are beaks are applied black glass. The flat base is ground and polished. This type of Vintage Murano bird is largely identifiable by the size, color and quality as well as the gold flecks throughout the body (see pics). This pair is attributed to Seguso also based on the shape, color, and the quality of the birds. These birds have NO chips; NO cracks, NO damage.
