Pair of Vintage UCAGCO Ceramics Japan Early Provincial Rooster and Roses Covered Tray and Serving BowlMADE BY: UCAGCO, JAPANPATTERN: ROOSTER & ROSES - EARLY PROVINCIALCIRCA: 1949 - 1956SIZE:The bowl measures 6 ¼" diameter and 2" deepThe tray is 8 "" wide, 2 ¼" high & 1" deepCONDITION: The Tray is in very good to excellent condition, there are no chips, cracks, fleabites, crazing, paint loss or repairs. This still retains the ""Early Provincial/Underglaze/Hand Painted/Japan" mark on the bottom. The bowl has small crack and chip on the the side (see photo).Pair of Vintage UCAGCO Ceramics Japan Early Provincial Rooster and Roses Covered Tray and Serving BowlThis is a really great 1950's Early Provincial aka Rooster and Roses hand painted Vintage Hanging Covered Tray and Bowl Set made by UCAGCO, Japan.The pair is hand painted with colorful Pennsylvania Dutch style designs featuring colorful yellow & brown trim at the bottom, green leaves and applied handle on the top of the tray cover.United China & Glass Co. Inc., better known as UCAGCO, dates back to 1850. Founded by Abe Mayer and originally called Abe Mayer & Co., the importer did business throughout the Southeast U.S. as well as Central and South America.
