This is a 1955 Pan Am calendar from the pre jet era back when airlines such as Pan American World Airways were flying aircraft such as the Lockheed Constellation, Douglas DC-6B and even the famous DC-3 on some of smaller routes. It has 12 seperate pages running from January to December of '55. Each month has a seperate color photo at the top of the calendar page of a Pan American destination. Photos include places such as Jamaica, Germany, Chile, Alaska, Hawaii (Waikiki Beach in it's early days) and Japan. At the bottom of each page is a small drawing showing a either a DC-6 (called "The Super-6" or "The Rainbow"), a Boeing Statocrusier (called "The President Special" or "The President"), or even an illustration of Pan Am's famous world travel book, "New Horizons" (shown for three months). The dimensions are somewhat large being 24" x 17". Calendar is in good to very good condition considering it's age.
