This is a aurora borealis crystal 8MM double capped rosary that is as beautiful as a picture. Unfortunately, I am working with a scanner and the shots are not as nice or fancy as a picture would be for a listing. This rosary is 22" long, with a circumference of 31" and a drop of 7 1/2". The crucifix is 2 1/4" by 1" with the Papal crucifix made popular by the last Pope John Paul II. This is the raised Corpus of Christ on what is appearing like a log crucifix. The cross is stamped Italy. The center medal is the Grotto at Lourdes but if you look closely you can see Pope John Paul II kneeling at the Grotto at Lourdes. I have one other rosary up for bid and it is the same rosary, only with the bisque container with the Lourdes shrine, and it has the same center medal, and on the reverse it had water from the springs at Lourdes, but alas, it has evaporated like most of the rosaries that put the spring water from Lourdes into the rosaries. This is weighing in at 60 grams. A beautiful and colorful rosary because of the aurora borealis making all the surrounding colors pick up on the beads. Young Madonna With Baby Jesus. Then a nice larger medal of St. Christopher carrying Baby Jesus on His shoulders.
