Offering a Beautiful Oversize Park Row Flattop Fountain Pen and Pencil Set, Beautiful Pearl & Black, (c. early 1930s), Gold-Filed Trim, Lever Fill, Fine 14K Flex Nib, in Great Condition! I just love these old flattop pens from the 1920s and early 1930s--the Golden Age of fountain pens. Offered is a classic example, a flattop of substantive girth and weight. This wonderful pen, measuring over 5 3/8" capped and 6 1/2" posted, is a large well-balanced pen, a bit shorter than the Parker Duofold Sr. The bright gold-plated large ball deco Z clip, stamped "Park Row," shows normal wear and no brassing or tarnish. The trim is bright, beautiful. This model was made without a cap band and has a grooved fine band around the cap lip. T is no imprint on the cap or barrel. The pen polishes to a high sheen, a glossy bright pearl and black. The cap and barrel are even in color throughout and the pearl is fairly even in color. The section is bright black and free of damage. The cap fits snugly--no wobblies or stripped threads The fabulous 14K fine flex nib is stamped "Warranted, 14KT, N.Y." and sports the circular-shaped vent. It writes a smooth fine line, a smooth writer. This pen has been profesionally restored--gently cleaned inside and out, fitted with a new sac, and write tested--so it comes ready to work.
