Recon Team Colorado - Beret Insert Patch From Personal Collection One Only Available RT Colorado One of the earlier Recon Team formed out of MACV - SOG, Command and Control Central at Kontum, RT Colorado was established in November 1967 from Special Forces / Special Operatives Personnel already operating from the Kontum Forward Operations base. With no official insignia Recon team Colorado was responsible for the 'Conduct of, Classified, Unconventional Warfare in the Tri Border region of Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.' Indigenous members of RT Colorado were choosen for the intense loyalty to the US Special Forces and their advanced capabilities in the art of Jungle Warfare, Sabotage and knowledge of enemy operating procedures.
