[CZ02] A very attractive and rare Patterson & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne blue and white, pearlware glazed tea bowl and saucer, in the "Bacchanalian Cherubs" pattern, c1830. Unmarked, other than printed "84" and partially impressed * to saucer. Tea bowl = 7.8cm diameter x 4.8cm tall (excluding handle); Saucer = 12.4cm diameter. In good condition and displays well, although there is a small manufacturing underglaze rim chip and minor glaze crazing to the saucer, as shown, and a 3cm hairline to the tea bowl, well hidden by the dark decoration. Still a highly decorative and rare example of Tyneside pottery. PAYMENT TERMS: If paying by PayPal, please pay within 3 days, or advise. If paying by cheque, please advise and send within 7 days.
