DESCRIPTION: Oil painting on canvas. Signed on lower right.MEASUREMENTS: 5 in. by 7 in.CONDITION: Very good condition. The colors are fresh. This piece is unframed and is not stretched on stretcher bars.ARTIST INFORMATION: Paul Lancaster was a native Tennessee primitive artist who reflected his Cherokee heritage and love of nature in his oil and watercolor paintings, original etchings, carvings and other mediums. One of Lancaster's hand-painted Easter Eggs was exhibited at the White House in 1985. His art works are included in the Smithsonian, Parrish Museum and Nicholas Roerich Museum collections. He won the "Best of Show" award at the 33rd Annual Tennessee All-State Art Exhibition and his works were included in the "Treasures of the Soul" show at the American Visionary Art Museum; Baltimore, MD, 2000 and the Parthenon Museum in Nashville, TN in 2013. Paul was featured in the "RAW VISION" publication in the winter of 2002. Paul Lancaster's life and works are featured in the book, Paul Lancaster Immersed in Nature by Grey Carter, Pegboard Press, 2009.DOCUMENTATION: Lyzon Art Certificate of Authenticity included.
