Penny Whimsy by Sheldon Paschal & Breen Early American Cents 1793-1814 New. This book is by William H Sheldo with collaboration with Dorothy I Paschal and Walter Breen 1990. Most collectors don't need to be introduced to this reference book. If you're new to collecting or an experienced collector, this is considered by many, (if not most) collectors to be the MAIN reference book for older US large cents. It covers the years 1793-1814. The book was written in the 1940's, and has been updated . The author goes to great length to describe the characteristics of the different die varieties for these years. Besides the descriptions, each one is also documented with a photograph. The photos are quite helpful .If you're interested in Large Cents, this material is required reading.. The information shown on the dust cover is taped to the inside front and back covers.
