Los Novios Retablo by Peruvian retablo artist, Alcidez Quispe Lurae. My favourite style of calavera retablo created with painstaking attention to detail and exquisite artisan skill. A truly wonderful piece to add to your folk art collection. The figures are plaster sculptures finished with a mixture of gypsum and potato paste and then intricately painted. The doors are hinged with pieces of leather. Another outstanding quality of retablo folk art from Peru . Dimensions H 5.5"(14cm)x W 3.5" (9cms) x D 2" (5.1 cm)approx About the artist: Alcidez Quispe Lurae is from a famous family of retablo makers originally from Ayacucho, but now living in Lima .
