This rare bronze murderers and thieves crucifix is from the estate of Ignacio Calderon; “Brujo de Salas”. Ignacio was a native healer in Peru , and when he passed away, all his belongings (having to do with his healing ministry), were sent over to one of the convents we work with. it is important to note that Mr. Calderon went to Catholic mass daily, and considered himself an instrument of the healing power of Jesus. This crucifix is one of four he used in his healing ceremonies, and they are on consignment for auction. Each crucifix will be auctioned separately. This is all we know about it; besides the description that follows. “After a healing ceremony (that involved many prayers, and the placing of hands), these crosses would be worn until the person was cured; then returned to the Shaman. The crucifix is in ALL original condition (as it was given to us). The beads on the tips of the cross Spanish Colonial glass trade beads that date from the 18 th century.” The crucifix is 5.5 inches long, with a weight of 61 grams. Good luck bidding!
