Here is the Petri Color 35 compact 35mm film camera, equipped with a 40mm f2.8 lens, with original lens cap, Petri zippered case, and owner's manual, as shown. This camera does need some repair, but a lot of things are good. First, the good -- the shutter sounds healthy on all settings, including the slowest 1/15 second and "B" setting. The aperture blades work fine. When I installed a battery (not included with sale), I was able to do the battery test per the manual, and found that the meter responded to light and I was able to match the needle in the circle by adjusting aperture and shutter speed. The back opens and closes properly. The zippered case looks good and the zipper works fine. The not-so-good -- the frame assembly in the viewfinder seems to be loose. When it is in the correct orientation, it looks great, the meter works, the indicator of focus distance works. Sometimes it flips to a diagonal and partially out of view. Shaking the camera in various orientations will get it back to the right place. It needs to be secured inside somehow. There is some contamination in the lens. It may be fungus, though it has a different look from what I've typically seen as fungus. Please figure that ideally the lens should be disassembled and cleaned out. Also, there is some adhesive residue on the top of the camera from some kind of sticker that used to be there. I never saw the sticker. I do not know if the rest will completely clean off. There is also a slight shadow of a sticker that used to be along the bottom edge of the back. The manual has some wrinkles and a fold on the front page. Inside the front cover is some writing, part in pencil and part in pen. On some other pages there is some significant writing (maybe of good technical use) that looks to be in pencil.Here is a short video to provide you more views and information prior to your decision to bid or buy.
