This beautiful Civil War chess set was produced by The Franklin Mint, and sold as a subscription service in the 1980's for approximately $1200 . The pieces (all 32) are pewter and brass with painted enamel bases, and depict the famous historical characters from the union and confederacy of the American civil war. All 32 pieces are present and in EXCELLENT Condition. The details are amazing! The wooden case, which is also the board (PEWTER), is also in Excellent condition. The board measures approximately 13 inches square. Great for a civil war buff or any chess enthusiast. See Pictures for Details!!!!
