Hello and welcome to my auction! This week I am offering for auction a beautiful PAIR (2) OF HOLIDAY SALAD BOWLS in the FOLK ART (FOLKART) pattern by Pfaltzgraff. These two 7 1/2" diameter salad bowls are in perfect condition, never used. They were part of the last By Request issue made in the USA. These lovely bowls are perfect additions to your Folk Art collection - they're definitely my favourite shape of all the bowls! Since they're shallower, they are great not only for salad but also for soups or even shrimp cocktails! Along with these pretty bowls, I am offering a few hand-painted pieces to match the pattern. You will get THREE HEAVY CERAMIC ORNAMENTS plus a STONEWARE SMALL SNOWMAN! The snowman is about 3" tall and I have painted his hat, mittens, and scarf in the Folk Art brown. I've embellished them with a little floral pattern and blue stripes to coordinate with the pattern. What a cutie he is! I use mine on a seasonal shelf, but he's small enough to fit on a windowsill or anyw w his smiling face will remind you of winter's fun! The three ornaments are premium ceramic; I have sanded them to a smooth finish and then painted them with 4 coats of base, adding the navy blue embellishments to match the pattern. The largest is about 5" long; the round ornament is 2 1/2" in diameter. These are, as I said, heavier ornaments so they are best displayed on a hanger or on the bottom of your tree, but they are also wonderful for pass-throughs or archways! Christmas is just around the corner, believe it or not, so it's never too early to get your shopping done! PLEASE NOTE: THE PRICE OF SHIPPING IS APPROXIMATE. I have put in 8 lbs for the calculator, but this is just an approximate weight; I have found that it is almost impossible to pack before auctions are over because so many folks like to combine them. Tfore, the weight is approximate (and in all reality, probably a bit heavier than the actual shipping weight). Another problem is that the post office now charges by the BOX SIZE along with the weight when things are shipped via Priority, so it is difficult to get a true cost of shipping until I actually package it all up. I will do my best to keep the cost down as much as possible, while still getting your items to you safely. Because of this inconvenience to my customers, I will no longer charge a packing fee, so your shipping cost will be the ACTUAL cost the USPS charges. Thanks! As I mentioned, the undecorated pieces can be painted as well to embellish them a bit more at no extra cost. The paints I use are dishwasher-proof and will last for many years to come as long as they are cared for (no soaking, scrubbies or brillo pads!). Please see my other auctions this week. I am cleaning out, selling off all the items I have collected over the years (none of which are being used at this point!) as well as hand-painted items to match. I will gladly combine auctions w feasible. Though I package well and believe it is my responsibility to get the items to your door safely, I do ask that you consider insurance in case of a lost or crushed box, as I cannot be held responsible for those cases. I ship USPS Priority only on fragile items. I gladly accept (and prefer) Paypal, money orders, cashier's checks, and, upon approval, personal checks.
