Hello and thanks for checking out my auction.PFATT Tuesday has come again, and this months theme is Santa's. To see more from my talented bunch of friends, simply type PFATT in a search.This is an original, One of A Kind, design from Kathy's Prims©. This is my version of Mrs. Claus. She measures 26 1/2" (including her bun) and is made from aged muslin. She features a round head and needle sculpted eyebrows and nose. Her eyes and mouth have been drawn on with artist pencils and her eye glasses are tucked into her hair. Mrs. Claus' hair is a brownish- gray roving that I needle felted into her head and added the bun on top.I found her skirt and coat fabric in a local Amish quilt store and it features male and female cardinals in the print. The coat has been tailed to fit her with darts on the front and I added four, tiny black buttons down the front. I hand-stitched the hem of the coat and the front. Faux fir trim was added around the cuffs and as a collar around her neck.Mrs. Claus has individual fingers and they are wired along with her arms. In one hand she is holding a holiday bell and the other is holding a resin cardinal.Her boots are painted, then sanded and I added the barn red, floss laces.And read more
